NYT: Rewriting History

WARNING: Socialist tripe alert. The following quote does not represent the views of this website, or it's owner:

Ron Susukind of the New York Times writes: "The nation's founders, smarting still from the punitive pieties of Europe's state religions, were adamant about erecting a wall between organized religion and political authority. But suddenly, that seems like a long time ago. George W. Bush -- both captive and creator of this moment -- has steadily, inexorably, changed the office itself. He has created the faith-based presidency."

This supposedly insightful revealing article (propogandist rant) depicts Bush as some sort of cultist nutcase, and depicts our founding fathers as being abhorrent of religious influence in our political system. But nothing is futher from the truth. Our founding fathers knew the importance of a Christian people filling our public offices. NYT totally distorts the original intent of the 1st Ammendment. There's a reason why we have legal precident, and the Courts in 1942 ignored nearly 150 years of it. Now the libs are trying to rewrite our history to fit their motives.

I read the first couple pages of the article and the "stories" they cite seem to boil down to hearsay. And given how they've proven themselves to lie about history to further a myth, I wouldn't give any more of my time tonight to finish this 10 page diatribe against Bush.

Driving Pet Peeves

To start off my new pet peeves section, here's a collection of my driving pet peeves:

  • Wanderers. Always use your turn signals, even in obvious turning situations. It alerts others around you of your intent, allowing them to anticipate your movements and be better defensive drivers.
  • Opposite Swerving. Don't swerve left before turning right. And don't swerve right before turning left. It's just plain stupid, and unsafe.
  • Tailgating. If if don't plan to pass me, don't ride my bumper. It's unsafe for you and me, holds up traffic behind you, and forces people to make illegal multi-vehicle passes at high speeds. Provide at least 4 seconds of distance between you and I.
  • Copy-cat Speeds. Use your cruise control. If you don't have cruise control, try to maintain a consistent speed. Varying speed causes wolf packs, which results in the tailgating behavior described above.
  • Slow Drivers in Left Lane(s). When on a multi-lane highway, stay in the slow lane whenever possible. No one should ever have to pass you on the right.
  • Slow Passers. Pass expediently. If you take your time passing, and someone is quickly approaching behind you, you cause wolf packs.
  • Lingerers. Don't linger in blind spots. Vary your speed temporarily to get out of it. Don't allow other people to linger in your blind spot either
  • Unhelpful Obstructors. Deter wolf-packing behavior. If someone beside you is passing slowly, either speed up or (preferrably) slow down temporarily to allow a sufficient gap in traffic so that blocked-in drivers can pass the idiot who was lingering beside you. If someone is behind you and refuses to pass, slow down in passing zones until they do. Slow down to extremes if necessary to achieve this goal.
  • Angry Drivers. Don't flip people off or give people dirty looks. It just makes them do even more idiotic, dangerous, and annoying things to piss you off.
  • Stupid Swerving. When avoiding a moving road hazard, swerve behind the object, not ahead of it. I saw a lady today try to avoid a semi truck that had pulled across our lane of traffic in a yellow light. She inattentively tried to proceed through the intersection, and when she realized that the light was turning red, she swerved in the direction of the truck (in front of it), not away from it (behind it). Idiocy. I think this is why they are telling drivers to not swerve for deer. Because idiots swerve in front of them (toward them) instead of behind them (away from them).
  • Arrogant Merging. When merging with traffic, match the traffic speed and adjust to fill a gap in traffic. DO NOT force other drivers on the highway to move into other lanes.
  • Big Blind Spotters. Adjust side-view mirrors to see further into your blind spot. The rear-view mirror inside your car is for seeing behind you. Don't duplicate efforts by using the side mirrors for the same purpose. If adjusted properly, you can almost completely eliminate your blind spot.
  • Inattentive Lane Changers. Check your blind spot when merging or changing lanes. Even with properly adjusted mirrors, it's possible for idiots to sit in your blind spots.
  • Lane Jockeys. In gridlock traffic, stay in your lane. Selfishly changing lanes causes more accidents and makes people tailgate just to keep you from merging.
  • Lane Procrastinators. In gridlock traffic, find your lane early. Don't wait until the last minute to change lanes just to catch your exit.

Ok. I'm done. More later maybe, as I think of them.

  • Unsuspecting Bedfellows: The Democrat Party and the Socialist Connection

Here's an excellent piece by JB Williams on what I've been saying for some time: The Democrat party of today is really the party of Socialism/Communism from yesterday.

    Divisiveness

RETRACTION: After being informed of the uncertainty of the origins of this speech, I'm doing my duty and posting this notice. It's would be good for you to read this before reading the rest of this posting. I hope this helps to reduce the likelihood of someone spreading this questionable material.

The Democrats strategy of injecting fear into the black people, the young, the old, and the poor is well explained by a speech made by slave owner William Lynch in 1712 on bank of the James River...

"Gentlemen, I greet you here on the bank of the James River in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twelve.

First, I shall thank you, the gentlemen of the Colony of Virginia, for bringing me here.

I am here to help you solve some of your problems with slaves. Your invitation reached me on my modest plantation in the West Indies where I have experimented with some of the newest and still the oldest methods of control of slaves.

Ancient Rome would envy us if my program were implemented. As our boat sailed south on the James River, named for our illustrious King, whose version of the Bible we cherish, I saw enough to know that your problem is not unique.

While Rome used cords of woods as crosses for standing human bodies along its highways in great numbers you are here using the tree and the rope on occasion. I caught the whiff of a dead slave hanging from a tree a couple of miles back.

You are not only losing a valuable stock by hangings, you are having uprisings, slaves are running away, your crops are sometimes left in the fields too long for maximum profit, you suffer occasional fires, your animals are killed.

Gentlemen, you know what your problems are: I do not need to elaborate. I am not here to enumerate your problems, I am here to introduce you to a method of solving them.

In my bag here, I have a fool proof method for controlling your Black slaves. I guarantee everyone of you that if installed correctly it will control the slaves for at least 300 hundred years. My method is simple. Any member of your family or your overseer can use it.

I have outlined a number of differences among the slaves: and I take these differences and make them bigger. I use fear, distrust, and envy for control purposes. These methods have worked on my modest plantation in the West Indies and it will work throughout the South.

Take this simple little list of differences, and think about them. On top of my list is "Age", but it is there only because it starts with an "A": the second is "Color" or shade, there is intelligence, size, sex, size of plantations, status on plantation, attitude of owners, whether the slave live in the valley, on hill, East, West, North, South, have fine hair, coarse hair, or is tall or short.

Now that you have a list of differences. I shall give you an outline of action-but before that I shall assure you that distrust is stronger than trust and envy is stronger than adulation, respect, or admiration.

The Black slave after receiving this indoctrination shall carry on and will become self re-fueling and self generating for hundreds of years, maybe even thousands.

Don't forget you must pitch the old Black male vs. the young Black male, and the young Black male against the old Black male. You must use the dark skin slaves vs. the light skin slaves and the light skin slaves vs. the dark skin slaves. You must use the female vs. the male, and the male vs. the female.

You must also have your white servants and overseers distrust all Blacks, but it is necessary that your slaves trust and depend on us. They must love, respect and trust only us.

Gentlemen, these kits are your keys to control. Use them. Have your wives and children use them, never miss an opportunity. If used intensely for one year, the slaves themselves will remain perpetually distrustful.

    Thank you, gentlemen."

Is it any wonder why many of the black people are struggling to rebuild their families, leave the cradle of the state, and bring themselves into prosperity.

    Ronald Reagan on Socialists

"...They reserve unto themselves the right to commit any crime, to lie, to cheat, in order to attain that*, and that is moral, not immoral, and we operate on a different set of standards, I think when you do business with them, even at detente, you keep that in mind."

*The promotion of world revolution and a one-world Socialist/Communist state. See here for further context.

I just had to put that one up. Reagan is just so quotable.

    Ronald Reagan on Protesters

"I think they operate maybe with open mouths and closed minds sometimes."

I'm listening to "Decisions That Shook the World" on Discovery, and I just heard an excellent quote from the Gipper. I'm just amazed I couldn't find it online anywhere. This was a statement in response to the question "What is the most important point that you made in your speech that will change the minds of people like those demonstators?" to which he responded "If they'd listen they'd find that everything that I'm talking about is aimed at peace. But of course, I think they operate maybe with open mouths and closed minds sometimes."

    My sentiments exactly.

    Brainwashed

I'm becoming convinced more and more that 1984 is coming unless we act now. Case in point:

One of my brothers sent this on to me: Brainwashing 101. I encourage any level-headed, open-minded person to watch it. I say that because I know that the hot-headed, hatemongering masses will not. Most of the video doesn't really surprise me, but the extent to which the students are persecuted by college officials does. It's pretty scary how speech rights are locked down on college campuses to make anything but liberal propaganda speech worthy of expulsion.

I'll pass on the "higher-education". I've got a life-long enrollment to University of Ideas instead.

Sidenote: I've seen the speaker referred to in the video, C. Mason Weaver. He's an excellent speaker, and has a unique point of view on government, taxes, slavery, racism, jobs, and business ownership. I encourage you to read It's OK to Leave the Plantation, or for the impatient, The Rope. For a sample of the content of his speeches, listen to this clip.

Rant: Job Creation and the Presidency

I just can't express how frustrating it is to have people like John Kerry, the liberal elite, and their mindless drones (the "Bush Sucks" crowd) claim to be on the side of the unemployed. Here I am, jobless, and Kerry is threatening to squelch any chance of jobs recovery with his socialist plan for further growth of government programs. John Kerry has been quite critical of the President when it comes to job loss. He likes to place the blame on Bush for the shallow jobs growth. Of course, the reality is that the recession trend started well before Bush was in office and had a chance to push an economic policy. It was a miracle we had him in office during 9/11. It was his backbone and strength of character that brought us the tax cuts that cut the recession off and brought us back on track in upward trend. But of course, the media pushes a well crafted, hand picked set of facts so as to change public perception (a nice way of saying brainwashing) that the jobs loss was Bush's fault. The clock on my computer says it's 2004, but I'm pretty sure it's two decades fast.

But anyhow, since Kerry likes placing blame where it isn't due, I have a question for him and the other Kerry supporters out there: What does Kerry plan to do to create more jobs? Best I can tell, this is what he/they have planned:

    Tax credits
In other words: Take money from those who create jobs (the "richest 1%"), run it through some government bureacracy (more government jobs), and then take what's left and return it to the public through "tax credits" which is code for wealth redistribution. And of course, like most government programs, there's the wonderful lack of accountability that's evident to anyone who's been on unemployment or welfare. Basically, anyone with a shaky business plan can get "free money" (codename for socialist wealth redistribution).

    Increased Unemployment Benefits
Here's a really simple one. Basically you'll get paid by the taxpayer (the job creators) to do nothing, encouraging you to not work, thus further running the economy into the ground. And as stated before, more government jobs and bureacracy to run the taxpayers money through, with that always present lack of spending accountability.

    Government Jobs
Need I say more really. Furthermore, this category doesn't fix my situation. I refused to subject myself to the 4-years-hate of the required State College education, put myself into debt, and get a piece of paper that has B.S. on it. This category includes the members of the NEA teachers unions at our Public (codename for Government) Schools. This also explains their position: Teachers, vote Democrat so that we get paid more to do less, and block accountability and competition in education. Screw the students. One size fits all, cookie cutter, run 'em through the system when it comes to education because it's easiest for us.

    On a related note:
It's funny how label averse Kerry is, and then wears the Catholic label as if it describes him. Liberals hate labels because, in Orwellian style, they hate being defined. Unless of course, wearing a label helps them achieve their goal: more absolute power through socialism. I, on the other hand, wear my labels like a badge. I am Catholic/Christian, Capitalist, Conservative, Republican. Who is being honest with the public? Who's telling the truth here? Who is really looking for more government power over your life?

Ok, I feel a little better now. Now go do the right thing. Vote Bush.

Bush in Wausau: Victory in Wisconsin

I just got back an hour ago from Wausau where President Bush spoke to a crowd of at least 7000 (could have been 10k. As you can see from the picture below, the attendance was so large, they had people sitting up on the grassy hill on eiter side of the stadium seating. It was huge). Wow. Amazing. I just don't know how else to describe it. I was probably 30 feet from the podium, and 10 feet out of reach of W when he shook hands with the crowd. I may have an opportunity to see him speak again this weekend. We'll see.

So on a related note: I confronted a protester today. It was quite fun. There were a group of protesters. Probably no more than 50, cordoned off in an area near the entrance to the park. Just outside of the protest area there was a guy standing on a picnic table holding up a poster that said something to the effect of "Pro Life means No War". At first, I walked near him and yelled to him to get this attention "Hey Pearl Jam!" (because of the Pearl Jam shirt he was wearing), and once I had his attention, I yelled to him "40 Million!, 40 Million!" in reference to the 40 million murdered in the US since1973 due to abortion. After walking away for a bit and rejoining my group, I decided to come back and do the level-headed thing: engage in debate. NeedIess to say, I pummelled him intellectually. The guy couldn't stay on point and I repeatedly backed him into corners on his logic. For instance, when I asked him if not going to war would result in no loss of life, he'd say "of course not" and then proceeded to drift away from the point of his placard. I repeatedly pointed out that less life is lost if we go to war than if we stay seemingly uninvolved. The guy brought his mini-handheld video camera (which mommy and daddy probably bought for him), but for whatever reason, seemed to think that our conversation was not worthy of documentation. Of course, that footage could have been pretty embarrassing for him, so I guess I can't blame this genious. But anyhow, the debate was cut short when I was approached by Scott Suder and I respectfully honored his wishes that I just walk away. I'm sure he said the same to the rest of the group gathered around the young brainwashed college student. Well, It was fun while it lasted. Next time, I think I'm gonna do it Protest Warrior style!

And now for a little "Where's Waldo: W in Wausau Wisconsin" starring me...
